SIAS vítá novou personální posilu!
V rámci dalšího zvýšení vědeckého výkonu katedry a jejího otevírání se badatelům z Latinské Ameriky vítá SIAS novou vědeckou sílu, dr. Alejandra Cozachcowa, který se u nás bude věnovat svému bádání o politické participaci mladých v Latinské Americe a Karibiku.
Alejandro Cozachcow (Ph.D. z Universidad de Buenos Aires) působí na středisku v rámci postdoktorského projektu OP JAK MSCA-CZ Postdoctoral Fellowship pod vedením doc. Karla Kouby. Kromě excelentního výzkumu se zapojí i do výuky a přípravy nejenom našich studujících, ale všech potenciálních zájemců o otázky politické participace, mládeže v politice či obecných problémů latinskoamerických demokracií.
„Zapojování zahraničních postdoků je jedna z cest, jak dosahovat vynikajících vědeckých výstupů, otevřít výuku u nás expertům z Latinské Ameriky a celkově se rychle posouvat v internacionalizaci. Jsme moc rádi, že u nás Alejandro je a doufáme, že s dalšími chystanými posilami nám pomůže i nadále etablovat FF UK jako klíčové pracoviště pro studium mimoevropského světa na v ČR“, řekl k tomu vedoucí SIAS Radek Buben.

SIAS welcomes a new addition to its academic personnel!
As part of our ongoing efforts to enhance the research performance of the department and to further open ourselves to scholars from Latin America, SIAS is pleased to welcome a new research colleague, Dr. Alejandro Cozachcow, who will be conducting research on youth political participation in Latin America and the Caribbean.
Alejandro Cozachcow (Ph.D., Universidad de Buenos Aires) has joined the institute within the framework of the OP JAK MSCA-CZ Postdoctoral Fellowship, under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Karel Kouba. In addition to his excellent research work, he will also engage in teaching activities and contribute to the academic development not only of our students, but of all prospective scholars interested in issues of political participation, youth in politics, and broader challenges faced by Latin American democracies.
“Integrating international postdoctoral researchers is one of the key ways to achieve excellent scientific outcomes, to bring experts from Latin America into our teaching, and to advance rapidly in the process of internationalization. We are very pleased to have Alejandro with us, and we hope that, together with the additional colleagues soon to join, he will help us further establish the Faculty of Arts, Charles University, as a leading institution for the study of the non-European world in the Czech Republic,” said Radek Buben, Head of SIAS.
