The IAP is divided into following sections:

• Artículos y Estudios: scholarly studies from diverse scientific disciplines as linguistics, literature or history, etc.
• Materiales y breves estudios: short articles and essays.
• Notas y comentarios: brief reports on conferences and other scholar events or projects.
• Reseñas e informes bibliográficos: reviews and critiques of publications and cultural vents on Latin American studies.
